Fabrication Technology
Also, bellows manufacturing comprises several operations and forming machines capable of creating bellows elements up to 240” ND. High precision seam welders are utilized to realize critical longitudinal element weld seams without filler metal. Further, the seams are designed to be within 10% of the parent metal thickness after welding to ensure that the fatigue life and bending stresses aren’t suffering from the welding operation. American BOA Large Diameter Punch Former (Bellows 66″ to 240”) Seam Welding Operation.
Moreover, we routinely perform these operations on the bellows materials home in thickness from 0.006” to 0.120″. Furthermore, materials vary from stainless steel to Hastelloy and Titanium. Additionally, to bellows forming, American BOA has the equipment necessary to manufacture the extra components required to fabricate expansion joints. As well as this includes plate rolls, expanders, burning tables, and an entire workshop.
